Template — not yet reviewed. This document is a placeholder that shows the structure of a typical policy. It must be reviewed and completed by a qualified lawyer before launch. Do not rely on it as legal advice.

This Privacy Policy explains how Kami Development (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use the LockIN mobile app and this website (together, the “Service”).

1. Information we collect

Usage data on your device. To show your screen-time totals and to block apps, LockIN uses the permissions your phone provides for this purpose (Screen Time on iOS; Usage Access and Accessibility on Android). This data is stored on your device. [Confirm exact permissions and storage details with the engineering team.]

Account data (optional). If you create an account, we collect your email address and the sync data you choose to upload (for example, daily totals and streak status). [Confirm the exact fields synced to the backend.]

Purchase data. Subscriptions bought inside the app are processed by Apple or Google; we receive a purchase status but not your payment details. Subscriptions bought on this website are processed by Stripe under its own privacy policy.

Website analytics. [State whether analytics are used, which provider, and whether cookies are set. If none, say so.]

2. How we use information

  • To provide the Service’s features (tracking, blocking, schedules, lock screens, challenges).
  • To sync your data between devices, if you sign in.
  • To manage your subscription and respond to support requests.
  • To improve the Service. [Describe any aggregated/anonymised analysis.]

3. What we do not do

We do not sell personal data. We do not show advertising. LockIN cannot see the content of the apps you use — only how long they are open.

4. Sharing

We share data only with service providers who help us run the Service (for example, cloud hosting and payment processing) and only as needed. [List providers: e.g. AWS, Stripe, RevenueCat.] We may also disclose information if required by law.

5. Retention and deletion

Uninstalling the app deletes local data. Account data is deleted when you delete your account in the app or by emailing info@kamidevelopment.com. [Specify retention periods.]

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Contact us at the address below to exercise them. [Tailor to GDPR / CCPA / other applicable law.]

7. Children

The Service is not directed to children under [13 / 16 — confirm]. [State the approach to parental controls, if any.]

8. Changes to this policy

We will post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. Significant changes will be announced in the app.
